NBD values the role of media in information and education within Nile countries. Hence NBD has partnered with Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) in preparations of Nile media awards to be delivered in 2015. With these media awards, NBD is optimistic to see the boost of professional coverage on the matters related to Cooperation on the Nile and engaging communities on climate change resilience/adaptation issues.
NBD also believes that media houses in the Nile Riparian states will play a critical role in educating and empowering communities to engage in constructive policy dialogue, and influence projects and programs.
